I ordered a 2021 Morgan CC/privy & two 2021 Peace Dollars from the mint, was maybe going to keep 1 Peace dollar & sell the others on eBay, I have been a member of eBay for 25+ years & have sold Coins & other items, also purchased many things, but I read how eBay has changed how we get paid. It Sounds too confusing to me. So I was wondering if anyone knew if I could cancel these orders since they won’t ship them for awhile. Have never canceled an order from the mint, so not exactly sure how to do it, if I even can. I was thinking about talking to Bob Beiter at Bob’s coins who I have known for many years but I forgot he passed away Seems like I was just talking to him yesterday Time goes by so fast as I get older. Anyhow if anyone can help please reply. Thank You……..
Yes you can. You could also just as easily not cancel and sell them to a dealer or send them to GC or David Lawrence to sell. eBay isnt the only way to sell, the new payment isnt great but its not much different than paypal other than they hold your money for a few days PS The Morgan CC has gone up BIG time I definitely wouldnt cancel that one
I would NOT cancel, just sell them in another manner as @baseball21 suggested. Some places are offering a nice premium for those coins. You could even list them here, with the caveats that go along with selling on CT.
I believe there is a feature to allow you to sell here on CT. Don't cancel the order. There are many collectors that would be happy to purchase them. It looks like @geekpryde was saying the same thing as I was.
If someone tries to cancel an order with the Government, the usual answer is: "Wellll....excuuuuuse me!!".
@Excuse_Me It's less than two hours since your original post and I'd bet you've already received PM's offering to buy them from you. Good luck with the sale
OK thank You ALL for your replies. I have never sold anything here on CoinTalk don't know if I am even allowed to, in fact I don't really talk much, just kinda read and learn stuff. I thought about talking to local coin shops around here, but from what I have read some are not fair. I always had a good repour with Bob Beiter from Bob's Coins I trusted him completely. I will check around and see if anyone has taken over his business. I am not familiar with GC or David Lawrence, Thank you for your advise...
If the local coin shop can make money from the coin, they should at least pay you what you paid. If they try to low ball you, just walk out. If the guy really wants it, he'll chase you down in the parking lot. When you are dealing with people in person, #1 know what the item is worth. That's easy to do now on the Internet. #2 don't be shy. Stick up for yourself and be prepared to walk. In the Bible, "the meek might inherit the earth," but in business, sometimes they get the shaft.
It's easy as starting a post. Just go to Forums drop-down menu and select For Sale. List your coin(s) and the price and wait for a buyer.
