    The devil of it is, I think he really knows what he has posted - his opinion. Maybe I missed it, but I remember no facts he has posted here yet. I guess there was the agreement that I could sue him. That might qualify as a fact.

    My 2 cents: I think statequarterguy views this as a fraud, and technically speaking IF he could prove the sellers intent was to defraud, he'd be right. It's to hard to prove and that's where the majority of posters lined up.

    I don't condone that sellers actions if he were casting a net to lure in the less sophisticated buyers. I don't think for a second statequarterguy believes rimcents would ever engage in such behavior. The old internet testerone battle between 2 male (you name the species) takes over, and the next thing we know everyone is going to hire F. Lee Bailey.

    Why not put this to bed, and start over as people that have a common interest in helping each other with our mutual hobby?

    What can I say, if you think that ad was ok, there's a problem.

    More trolling of eBay with an in vain effort to police those alleged to be "misleading". This is ridiculous, and the fact that the auctions legality got brought into this is even more ridiculous. I am going to send this thread into the producers of Law and Order to see if they'll make an episode of it. I agree with RLM and I don't understand why people spend their time creating threads on here everytime they find somebody on eBay being dishonest.

    Thank goodness there are only a few that go along with rlm's belief that a deceptive ad is ok. Maybe the hobby isn't as bad as I thought.

    Fourth time, at least, you said you were through, but still no facts. Don't let the small things like facts get in your way.

    Oh, and your listing is still there. eBay still agrees with me.

    So, tell me the truth (I know it's tough, but you can do it). Are all you that defend rlm, posting those deceptive ads on eBay?.

    Well, I'm gonna go play with the big boys. Just remember posting deceptive ads leads down the road to nowhere, failure and possible severe penalties.

    You keep saying it is "deceptive" (the hiding or distorting of the truth). Here is the complete wording of his ad;

    Please tell me just which line is deceptive. If you say "NO P MINTMARK", or "No mint mark", please show me where the mint mark is because deception means it is hiding or not the truth. So, there must be a mint mark on that coin somewhere, but I cannot find it.

    I am going to go eat supper, but the rest are probably waiting for you to answer my question with some facts.

    So under my name on CoinTalk it says "7 Iron Surgeon". Now, I have a single digit handicap in golf (which for those not familiar means i'm good) and joke that I am SURGICALLY precise with my seven iron yet I am not a surgeon. Is that "deceptive"? When you read that do you expect that I perform surgery with a 7 Iron?

    You got the facts Jack, read them. Now, "Go away son, ya bother me".

    It would be deception if someone took that name to mean you are a surgeon and you allowed them to believe it. But you would have an out if you stayed at a Holiday Inn last night? :hail:
