hello, and good day to you all! , recently purchased a set of 4 2020-p jefferson nickel, full step, unc errors, yest i am having difficulty in identifying the error, might be a die break (for it is on all 4) or possible lamination, but i doubt that since, yup, 4 of em..could be a struck through, but on 4 in a row>?? @paddyman98 or @Fred Weinberg for expert help please, and thank you sorry shoddy pics i have only have 16 mpxl's on cell phone...
i thought so, too, yet on 4 iin a row?? i know on die breaks and grease filled you can have multiples, but on a struck through>>??
The object that was causing the struck through got stuck on the Die and then repeatedly struck multiple nickels.
A definite strike through. They can occur only once or there can be multiple strikes from the same item causing the strike through. Nice find.
well, did not actually find in the wild, i bought them as i made an offer for 32.00 for all 4 he was asking 60.00
i have 5 or six sets of multiple errors, my favorites are 3 ike dollars with progressive die failure on revers and these nickels, the rest are cents and dimes...
Did you buy these knowing there was this issue on the Reverse? Im going through nickels now that have a better apperance. Just thinking maybe I should keep em
yes, indeed..some of the very scant offerings for 2020 and 2021 error coins..snapped it up within 5 minutes of finding, made an offer, he accepted.. always looking for any 2020 and 21 errors!!!
