Exactly. International is just a little more complicated so I wouldnt start there but once youre comfortable theyre fine and Ive used them multiple times myself. The only real downfall for buyers at this point is the selection isnt as good as it once was as a lot of sellers have left, but other than that there's really no reason to avoid it as a buyer. if anything theres probably more problem buyers than sellers at this point
Let me clarify. I never doubted the guy. Thats not what I was saying. He is indeed straight up with me...as I am with him. Its mutually beneficial that way. * EDITED *
I'm not the one whose claiming tax fraud on a public forum. There's nothing to win or lose its what the law is and always was. And yes I did report my eBay purchases come tax time before they started collecting the tax If you dont like the law vote in people that will change it or move to a state without sales tax If you went to a coin shop you would be paying taxes on the purchase too except the seller wouldnt have to pay a fee on it. Its not the sellers responsibility to eat the cost of the taxes and all the fees so someone can have the convenience of ordering from home. You pay a little more for the convenience and added selection as opposed to having to take time out of your day and spend money on gas etc to psychically go look at a shop
You would tell the state you bought x on ebay and that you owe them state sales tax? Are you talking about "income tax" for the guy making a profit on ebay? Or are you talking about "state sales tax" that a buyer pays? Because I'm talking about state sales tax. I hardly think I'm committing tax fraud if I buy a coin and skip out on the state sales tax because it was a private transaction. And if i am...... so what. Trust me i dont feel bad about it.
Yes I would report my purchases and pay the unpaid sales tax because that is the law and that is what you are supposed to do. The reason why states passed laws to make all online vendors start collecting it is because of all the people that were evading the taxes they owe. You were ALWAYS supposed to be paying it, it is not a new tax
I gotta go to bed. I get up at 4am. I work 60+ hrs a week and pay taxes on every dime of it. We can resume this on our own thread as well. Maybe tomorrow. In the mean time keep up the good work amigo. You're gonna change the world keeping the state up to date on al the sales tax you owe the buying hobby coins. I can feel it.
