    Hello everyone,

Thank you @Matthew Kruse for that needed like!

Yesterday morning I did a 3 hour Metal Detecting hunt at Brooklyn's Prospect Park. No silver coins but detected 2 nice silver rings. The big ring was my very first target the moment I started swinging! It was a nice surprise :wideyed:

Last weekend one of the members of our Detecting Club hit a Honey Hole at Prospect park. He couldn't make it yesterday so he was not able to show me the sweet spot.

Here were his finds of US Silver Coins..

Congratulations my friend, many more likes to come I am sure.
When you find good spots do you record the area or input the location into the GPS of your phone?

Congratulations on the likes and the finds. I think the green and white ring is Montana Moss Agate. Sorry you didn’t add to your silver coins but with finds this nice you should be pleased.

Bunny, did your detector blink, "Odd shaped ball" when you stumbled upon the football? LOL
Nice finds and congrats on all of those likes.

Was that Mattel car buried? It looks so clean, meaning all original.

I saw something in the distance in my peripheral view. I thought it was a rock. There were also about 2 baseballs, 1 golf ball and 3 tennis balls in different areas of the park. I've kept so many of them I don't have room! The football was my first ever.

    Yes in loose soil.
I soaked it and gently brushed it. Also had to tap it against the sink to get out the dirt that had entered the body.

Those are some nice balls you have there.

I'd donate them to YMCA or other organization that helps keeps kids off the streets.

Just a little bit. I used to buy and sell classic cars. I would buy them at auctions, fix them up, then resell. My problem was that once I fixed one up, I didn't want to sell it. I still have a '72 Chevy Monte Carlo in storage. It needs restoration. The last one I sold was a 1966 Checker Marathon Station Wagon in 2019. I had that one and drove it for about 20 yrs. I'm too old to work on them anymore.
The guy who bought the Checker is a member of the Houston Art Cars Group and has already turned it around into what he calls " The Phoenix ".
I called it the " Coitus Cabana ". Probably my favorite was a 1976 Mercedes-Benz 280 C Coupe. I bought it at auction for $250 +TTL, then mechanically restored it and drove it for many years. Because it was a 2 door coupe, I called it my Baby Benz. I put personalized plates on it that read " NTRCRS ". Can you tell what that is short for?

Here's what the Checker Wagon looks like now.

When you look at the back of that wagon, note the top tail light lenses. Jay put lenses from a '59 Cadillac on it.
He's going to restore the interior next.
