Ohhh well in that case when you get the 2nd email from the Mint you’ll know if you got one for sure or not. Not first email you get seconds after placing an order but rather the 2nd one that shows what you bought and how much you paid.
I ended up with 6 Peace and 3 Morgans today. I got my Dad to try ordering these too just in case I couldn’t get through, and visa versa. Somehow he got an extra Philly Morgan. I guess one got added to his cart in the constant chaos of repeating steps. It took me a good 20 minutes to get through. It was basically the same for my Dad.
Has anyone run into the problem that there C/C might expire before they get these coins shipped? The card I used has an expiration date of 10/21. Can you have more than one card registered with the mint?
I think if you get a replacement card before it expires it should be okay since the card number itself is the same. So is the CVV code. Usually your bank will send you a replacement a few weeks before it expires but you should probably double check. As to registering more than 1 card yes it’s possible. I have a Visa and a Discover. But I’m not sure if they can charge that card without a seperate approval. I don’t think they’ll do it automatically since having a card saved does not authorize its use. I think if the card you used to make the purchase is declined it will just cancel the order.
Yep, that’s the one I’m waiting on…the order shows in my account, but haven’t received the second one
I got mine about 4 hours ago but I was definitely one of the first people to place an order since as you can see I got the first email at 9:02 PST which is 2 minutes after release. However with my S & D I had to wait until 6pm PST/9pm EST. I wouldn’t worry unless it’s been 24 hours since placing your order. Then I would call them.
It's official I'm getting one of each, much to my surprise. I had no idea that the order went thru. I received the official notice at 4:47 PM yesterday
The second confirmation arrived - the Mint sent the last two before 3pm the day of the order. This time I got it at 5am the following morning. Mai, they did a great job of torturing me!
I went right for the Peace Dollars, thinking I would not have been lucky enough to try for the Morgan and the Peace. I put in a quantity of 3, the cart reduced me to only one, so I checked out with just the one (or so I thought). My credit card email showed that I actually got all 3 coins, and later my Mint order email showed I did get all three. Hope to trade a Peace for a Morgan down the road.
Talk about torture, my wife successfully ordered 3 peace dollars yesterday. She never got the first email. The confirmation email just arrived. 23 hours of no communication from the mint until now. That was a long time to wait.
I succeeded in placing an order for the 3 Peace Dollars, then forgot about the Morgans. Went back and successfully placed an order for 3 of those at 17 after. So far I have the Order Received email for both orders, but only the Order Confirmation email for the Peace order. Wait and see I guess. Rick L.
I'm an old guy with old coins. The newbies are great but the oldies are the greatest, in my opinion. Good luck!
As a Peace Dollar collector I’m really happy to get these new ones from the mint I think they were going to put these out in 1964 but Did did not Also I think it will drive up interest in the Peace Series Also I like the new Morgan’s too It’s all good
Put one Peace in my cart and got two at confirmation. At least the several glitches worked to my advantage since the addition will reimburse my $174.95 plus go towards a 1928 in AU58. Who knows? Maybe come October the market price will cover the cost of both.
i am usually an ancients guy, but every so often take a flyer on a new release, I also snagged one of the enhanced Silver Eagle reverse proofs from last year
Replacement card for a damaged card will have the same CVV. Replacement card for a lost/stolen card will have a new CVV. New card for replacing an expired card will have a new CVV. While the Mint is supposed to contact you if the card is declined, there have been many people who have complained that they were never contacted and their orders cancelled.
