Some real nice pieces I picked up at auction came. I plan to do a little book for each dynasty. Almost all are Ex Ken Dorney. Some of them are in great condition.
Many of those coins are very nice looking. I especially like the Northern Song 10 cash, the Parthian, the blue Wu Zhu, the Ban Liang, and the many colorful patinas. In the 2nd photo, what is that round looking black coin, on the right?
Cool! I've bought some Chinese pieces from @Ken Dorney. Miss him on the forums. Don't know much about older Chinese coins myself (just the bare basics), so it's nice buying them already attributed.
Great bunch of coins! FFIVN likes the look of those Chinese cash coins. We've purchased several from Ken Dorney and recognize his flip inserts haha. I'm a fan of that trachy and the Parthian.
I am the same way with cash coins. I will only buy from greatly trusted sources as I cannot authenticate them. I am great with minted Chinese coins but these are a different animal.
Well in that auction I probably got about 85% or so of the Chinese coins. I went for the better condition singles and the group lots. I did get the 2 romans and a byzantine group as well as a Italian States coin.
