canada dollar

    for all those that love nt coin's i thought i would show you this nice one dollar from canada. I love the way obv rim is toneing to a gold colour
    And the rev is going that golden red .what was the mintage on these.
    And do you like

    thanks big h i was hopeing for a lower mintage but what can i do

    glad you like it mark its my fav of 5 i bought a while back.

    Very nice colors on that one. You don't see colors like that often on Canadian Dollars.

    thanks snaz the other four have no toneing at all.
    that is why it is my fav it is not to dark .dont
    like coins that go a step to far mhop

    Real Toneing?

    I found this 1945 Merc when I was going through a handful I aquired and it appears to have some toneing. I've seen the beautiful nickles posted on cointalk with their fantastic toneing, but I wasn't aware that dimes, (wartime dimes?) could tone also.

    What does everyone think?

    The 1971 BC dollars tone really well. I have one that is a "rainbow" of colors as well. Must be something about the .500 silver alloy they used at the RCM that year.
