If EVERYONE would IGNORE them they may go away. I will never acknowledge or like any of their posts.

Unfortunately, this doesn't get rid of their threads showing up. Unless I'm doing something wrong. If I am, please tell me because I want this guy's garbage gone.

Lighten up. Be annoyed if you want to, but as long as each post is about a different coin, I don't see a rule violation here.

Just post more of your own stuff. And (to those of you who did) stop reporting this person for spam unless he's actually offering to sell the coins.

He is a jerk who will never get the respect of the collecting world. HE knows that. He is also a liar who posts "finds" that haven't been available in 50 years. You can't find that many MS Wheat Cents if you checked 1000 rolls a day.

Maybe you're right- I dunno- I haven't read all the posts. But the name-calling is counterproductive.

Is it possible to ignore complete threads from members? Like, not be able to see them at all?
It sucks that all of the recent threads are this troll's. It also bumps real threads down where people are less likely to see them.

Perhaps you are right there. But, when you open the "Recent Topics" section and they are all spam or garbage from one person it gets impossible to ignore or be gentle about.

OK, yeah. I've looked around a bit. That's a LOT of threads. I could consolidate all of them into one, but frankly, that would take more time than I have to spare right now. Hopefully he will heed my request to change his posting style and put everything in one thread from here on out.

(Yeah, I'm not holding my breath over that happening, either. We'll wait and see.)

Y'all could try the "ignore" feature. To be honest, I have never tried it (nor do I even know if it would work for a moderator, since we kinda have to see everyone's posts.)

I have 3 or so members on ignore. Not bad for almost 9 years on here...Bents is one of them. Unfortunately, his threads still pop up. It would be awesome to have a way to just banish them to the void, threads/individual posts etc...

if you click ignore on the person, and then refresh the page, his posts, and threads are gone from your viewing displeasure.

No reason to get bent out of shape, if you dont' want to see it, put them on ignore and it's gone,

The ignore feature ignores all threads and posts by the ignored person. If the person posts in another thread it shows up with a wee banner that says "show ignored content" which you can click if perfidious curiosity gets the better of you.
