Error or not an error? That is the question...

  1. 2005 D Dime... error coin? If so what kind of error is it? I’ve researched and researched and well kinda felt like I just got off of the tilt a whirl lol. Thank again for your help it’s much appreciated!

    Interesting.....is the edge reeded? I'm curious to see what the experienced CT members have to say. Is it the same size as a regular dime? Almost looks like it's on a wrong planchet.

    Could be a Broadstruck Dime but I'm not totally sure.
    We need to see the edge. Reeded then not Broadstruck. No reeds then it could be Broadstruck.

    Edit.. Looking carefully at the damage to the rim I now think it's a damaged Dime.

    Really?to me it just looks like the usual ground down coin or something similar but im not arguing with you:):).

    Struck-thru debris/grease? Maybe a thin planchet. Do you have a weight for it?
