If you know anything about Big Block Chevy engines you will notice these numbers right away. This is the only fancy $50 bill that I own. It is crisp uncirculated. I don't have it in-hand yet but the pictures show the embossing of the S/Ns to be pretty strong. It seems to be centered pretty well but the green seal and S/Ns seem to be off a bit. 50-MB03960396A.jpg 50-repeater0396side.jpg

    Cool repeater.

I’ve worked in the automotive industry for over 45 years and never seen anyone use BBC as an acronym for big block Chevy. I see BBC used more in the television industry for British Broadcasting Company.

Nice find. I also initially thought British Broadcasting System. (Doctor Who fan).
Not completely sure, but isn't the firing order only applicable to the small blocks?

For the big block fans, the 04540454 may still be out there.

In the drag racing / street racing community, BBC is quite common, as are SBC, LS and LT - they all designate the various Chevy engines used by racers.

One of the few sets of numbers I've remembered into my old age.
But I was more of a 03500350 person.

When I see the photo of this post, I think, "I wish I could afford to collect $50s and $100s." But then I look at my collection and see hundreds of $1s, lots of $5s, and a number of $10s, and think, "Heck, I already do, but in smaller denominations."

I figured someone would catch it. The same order worked on some Fords if you knew where to drop the rotor
