Found this in a box of crap we picked up from the road.It doesn't look modern to me my guess is just an old cash coin but surprise me!!!.I know nothing really past U.S coins.Not sure if i posted in the right forum,all and any help is welcome.
I see coins like that on eBay, but have no idea how to tell if they're real. Prices suggest they're not.
You are right. I think I looked at the Calgary Coin website, which uses "Ching" instead of "Qing". Same.
I think so. One the other hand, I recall reading somewhere that coins minted during the Yongzheng era (i.e. the OP coin) is comparatively rare among all other Qing emperors.
It would seem so. Ancient Chinese coin hoards have been found in large numbers and individual hoards are sometimes measured not by number of coins, but in kilograms and even tons.
