It must've been in a fire or near some other heat source. Obverse looks great though. I traded some 925 silver scrap for a few ASEs at a jewelry store.

Entry post. I have owned gold in the past.
For B/C I am interested in the 1865 2 and 3 cent coins.
    Thanks for doing these drawings!

Wow! Thanks, m'Lord! It is so nice to see you back here.

This shall be my official Entry Post . . .

    Step 1: I own a gold coin.

Step 2: Really, do y'all have time for this? I think I might run out of space and time if I exhaustively explain what items I might choose - were I to win.

Let's start with the Trajan silver deanarius; because it looks spectacular and I get a chill whenever I hold and research further the person and specific times of individuals on coins.

Spanish two-maravedis of Ferdinand V & Isabella I - the historical context is awe-inspiring and I don't have anything like it. This coin, to me, represents the unification of Spain, European adventure and discovery (yes, including, in many ways, the use and abuse of many other peoples and places in the world).

Lithuanian silver half-grosz of Siggy the Old because I've recently been infatuated with the events of the past 30 years in Russia, and Lithuania plays a big part (as do Estonia and Latvia). And I don't own anything like it.

The Russian five-kopecks of Ekaterina - similar to and related to the infatuation with Russian events - which entails events and people from well more than 30 years . . .

And with that, I'll end this. I've got other things to do . . . . and I've bored you enough. Thanks again, Rob!

Entry Post. I do not have a gold coin. As a matter of fact, the most expensive single coin I have in my "collection" is probably my 1996 ASE. That said, even if I don't win I would like to buy one or more coins from you, if that's alright (the 1866 copper-nickel shield, the 1865 2cent piece, the 1876-CC seated liberty dime, the 1834 capped bust half, and/or the 1856-O seated liberty dime). If I had to choose only two, it would be the 1866 shield and the 1876-CC seated liberty dime.
    Thank You!

Bored”? Ha! This is exactly the kind of stuff I like to hear. Thanks.

Bonus chance in the drawing for you. This post (#27) counts as an extra entry for you. Same as your own entry (#25). Still random and fair, but an extra ticket in the hat for you.

If I didn't already have two rescues, I'd take a kitty as a prize!

Yeah, after a dozen or so, we’ve had to limit the intake of new ones to just foster kittens. We take ‘em when they’re tiny and just weaned, then fatten ‘em up and let ‘em grow until they’re big enough for adoption. Then No Kill Glynn County takes them and gets them spayed and neutered, and they go out for adoption at PetSmart.

Chip, the orange one in the intro pic, is at PetSmart now. Smudge (the black one) just got adopted. Sara (the calico) got adopted by my father and stepmother, so she’s still in the family and we'll get to see her grow up. She was a sickly little thing not so long ago.

If my entry is chosen, I'd like it to go to @AidenAlexander. Because of this, I cannot say if he is eligible for a gold coin, or which of the other prizes he may like. I'll leave that up to him.
    Good luck Aiden!

I have a friend who does the same thing for ASPCA and for a local shelter in Florida. As someone who gets a bit choked-up when seeing the animal abuse commercials on TV, I have a great appreciation for you guys.

I've owned a gold coin before. I'm a cat person myself. Rescued 3 of my own! I'm a fan of walking liberty half dollars, so that would work if I win!

Kakeshkina is a bit of a mewmismatist, she likes "helping" me CRH. She is 2.5 years old - she is a runt, still kitten sized. My other kitty is very camera shy: IMG_2043.jpg

Alyona, she is four years old.

Thank you so much, Steve. I really appreciate it. :)

I’ve seen gold, but, never owned it. My uncle has a $2 gold coin from Newfoundland.

I love the kitties. I recently had to rehome my cats and lizards when I moved into an apartment that doesn’t allow pets. It was so hard. Thankfully, my parents were willing to take in one of my cats and my lizards, so, I get to see them at least once a week. But, I miss their constant companionship.

Entry post, thank you LordM, for your generosity, both of coins and time. You are a most giving of souls. I own some gold so I'm ineligible for the first drawing but if chosen for #2 or #3 I would pick the Elongated coins as these rarities are only available from the house of M and of a minuscule mintage number. Thanks again and welcome back, you were truly missed.
The only cat in our house, a prize from @ddddd, a Transnistria rouble Forest Cat.
