When I first saw this all I could think of was Mr. Peabody from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show when I was a lot younger.

Peabody is a town In Massachusetts and this token is to commemorate the 100 year anniversary, 1868-1968. It was originally sealed in a plastic pouch and sold as a souvenir. I have one in the original condition and another out of the plastic.

I do like a Centennial token. Quasquicentennials, Sesquicentennials, Bicentennial, Tercentennials, and all the others.

I recently completed a 2-coin set (brass/silver) of 1976-D Colorado Centennial commemoratives (1876-1976)...first commemorative struck at the Denver Mint.

    Representative photos...

Garlicus Debt is dumb, cash is king.

I was in Peabody yesterday (technically, drove through), as is the case most Mondays.
There is actually a very tall statue/monument (Civil War, I believe) in the center of town that I was looking at as I was at a red light, and was thinking about taking a pic of it for the Non-coin Photography thread, but decided that I wanted to wait and get a pic from the front, not the side.

edit - here is a pic from Google maps

Will do, although it may be hard getting a good pic, considering the size and the poles and wires.

FYI - for those that don’t have the joy of living in a snowy climate…the blue light on the tragic pole indicates no street parking during a snow storm, when it is on.
