    Got this in over the weekend, my 2nd hippo & Claudius coin ..i've not seen too many of these around, in fact, i believe this is the 1st one...

    A great coin! I almost bought a Roman Alexandrian coin depicting a hippo a couple of weeks ago from cgb in France -- it's from Hadrian, not Claudius (Dattari 1575, K&G 32.154) -- but decided instead on the Agathodaemon I recently bought and posted. AFter all, I already had one hippo in my ancient zoo, but had no Agathodaemon at all!
