It's a clad business strike, but only placed in mint sets that year. There was a mintage of 2,000,000, but only 1,769,258 sets were sold. These are rare coins in 67 grade...only about a dozen exist. A 66 grade is considered exceptional for a 73-D.
The carbon spots stick out like a sore thumb, The luster is smooth, nt much eye appeal, It also has it's fair amount of planchet roughness. Just not enough of a coin to go GEM+
