Is this a die chip?

    This 1990 d penny has a funny little dot just to the right of the mint mark. I think it's a die chip but I'm super new to this. I'm getting my collector book in the mail tomorrow, and im thinking this is the one that goes in the 1990 d spot.     Either that or a gas bubble or a die gouge. Pictures are too hard to see it. Its still only worth one cent, though all of these are errors.

    More than likely it’s a plating blister or a gas bubble as described above. Very common so it’s a spender.

    The die is completely flat there.
