Oh, be still my heart! I did not explicitly make any vows. However, when they came out, I scoffed. I said, "Nahhh." I thought, "Not interested in another bunch of non-circulated legal tender coins." But reading your post made me laugh out loud. I wonder when I too will cave.
I'm smart Not only did I NOT buy any, I don't know what they are or that they even existed I don't keep track of recent Mint issues
I got the first one in Dec 2018 as a type. I got enough to put one in each of the type sets for my great grandkids. I never got another. They are just plain ugly and useless. I'm still trying to get rid of my presidential and native American.
I live in a "cave", so naturally, when I saw the thread title it piqued my interest & I opened it. I'm with @kanga on this! So all we know is that you have no self control...
Your right I have no self control especially when it comes to coins. Honestly I lasted longer than expected as it is now 2021 and the series started in late 2018.
Have they released one for North Carolina yet? I saw them, but never took the time to see what they were all about. After going through the 2 quarter sets, I said, never again. I did finish the last quarter sets about the parks and stuff. I got so tired of them, I really never looked at them to see what they were all about. I just stuffed them in the hole of the book my wife bought me for my birthday. She's my enabler.
I can't imagine another 5 years of quarters. Most of them sell at a premium from the mint and another premium from the dealer. If you are diligent you can get P and D circulation grade.
I have all but the one that the mint released without announcing properly. None of mine are in slabs. None are graded. I am getting the new design and then no more. No more of the new quarters. No more of the new dollars (one in 2018 for type). No more of the commemoratives (stopped in 2018). I'm done with trying to keep up with all the ballast from the mint.
Same coin regular proof... you can see why I bought the reverse proof i think lol... This is a nice coin but the reverse proof is beautiful...
