I've bought a few things recently on eBay from sellers in Europe who had their prices listed in Canadian dollars. I was just curious if there's a reason for this? Is it taxed differently or something? Seems like an odd choice instead of euros or U.S. dollars.

Ebay is gradually bringing down the artificial barriers that they erected in an attempt to get sellers to pay out for international coverage - in tandem with their 'managed payments.' If you give in to them (which I gladly have), you now get listed across their .whatever platforms. This is likely why you have seen an uptick.

But I'm in the U.S. so it's odd that I'm seeing Czech sellers listed in Canadian dollars.

This being said, everything is a little 'jenga,' as every change that ebay makes seems to be... trust me, I am currently just exiting the kafkaesque hell that has been this fairly minor change for for foreign sellers... My guess is that there are bank account currency considerations, but that is just a guess, this whole thing is such a mess... impossible to tell without actually being involved with the implementation team...
