Thanks, I actually have more documentation but I’m not going to post every little piece. Some is difficult to read so a photo doesn’t do it justice. This is history I can hold in my hand.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I love old coinage and old notes like this. Its so fascinating to see them up close and in real life too. I have an old silver US 3 cent piece which is absolutely awesome in my opinion. I had always thought it was a joke until I saw one at a dealer when I was a kid, and later I got one as a gift. I really think its so cool. I have a lot of foreign too that I'm collecting. I'm actually trying to collect one coin at least from every country in the world. Its stunning how artful some foreign coinage is, while modern coinage in the US seems to be rather bland by comparison at times. I do like the thing they did with the statehood quarters to spice up the coinage, but I feel we (as a nation) could do so much better. Just my opinion though, but I do feel our coin artisans are a bit lacking in imagination and creativity. Oh well, lol. I think I've run on long enough for this post, time to close and go stare at my coins for awhile, lol.
You are so correct in the total lack of imagination US coin designers have today. I have a number of other notes like this one, some exciting and some not. I just purchased 3 more today. Again, welcome to CT.
