Every once in a while I check the going rate for MS62 1921 Peace dollars on eBay. It was a bit of a shock last time I checked in. They'd been hovering around $300 for years, and now they're suddenly getting $500, $600, $700...? Mine's in ANACS plastic, so wouldn't hit the high end, but I'm seriously considering selling into strength.

Edit: so apparently I was only looking at the second page of results, sorted by date. Several have gone for over $1000.

Very nice coin , I like a nice looking circulated coin as well.
I actually prefer AU-58 when I can and really like a nice looking Fine thru XF-40 as well.

Beautiful coin and I bet you are delighted with finally having your own complete Morgan set, made with coins that each speak to you. Any thoughts on which you’ll upgrade first, if any?

Surprisingly, I own just three Morgans.

 

No, not really. I focused the last year on saving for the 93S and slowly replacing the ones where I didn’t particularly like the eye appeal. Both of those tasks are now complete. At this point, I have no strong urge to upgrade a particular coin just for the sake of upgrading. Especially with the recent increase in prices.

Are you planning on holding on to it, or, like some collectors, get itchy fingers to sell it as soon as it's done?

 

I cant imagine ever selling it. I get anxious butterflies just talking about it.
