1st I like and use Ursa Minoris slab cases.. well built and easy to store/handle I had to choose a new case last night as I again ran out of room lol... a 30 case, 50 case or 100 case.. were my choices (another 20 wasn't gonna cut it) In the end I decided on a pair of 30s. the 100s just way to big bulky unless you're a dealer the 50s I don't like the 2 row setup... long and narrow they look more like a guncase the 30 is smaller then i really wanted but size shape and storability gives it the win this time..
PS this is the guy i usualy go though (little bear) i post this as it list ALL the UM products at the bottom https://www.ebay.com/itm/153523256235
Yes they have the extra height for the ANACs slabs, regular NGCs fit snug and you can put in the NGC fat boys but they take up 2 slots. even the old small Anacs slabs fit in nice (sideways)
Here you go.. shown is a small anacs, pcgs, ngc, icg and a newer ANACs PS this is one of my UM 20 cases...
Yeah I've seen pic's of paddy's stack hehe I go through phases of slabbed and raw coins.. on a slab kick at moment with the type set and MS morgan date set, so need more slab space lol
The 30s are 30-35 each the 50s about 45 and the 100 for 80. The link I posted above will take you to little bear collectables ebay shop.. I'll even give him a recomendation as i've bought from him several times with no issues and quick service
Shows the deferent styles of collecting. Or, with me, one different style. You guys have hundreds (perhaps a thousand) slabs. I have a bizzilion coins and 1 slab. I enjoy and support it all.
I've got the silver color 100 count version, works great just not as rugged as it looks as the metal sides/tops are plastic with a metallic coating. would not trust anything really heavy on top of it.
I've still got mostly raw coins in albums, flips, folders and tubes, but working on 2 different slabbed set at moment so they building in number (about 100 total at moment)
Is that 100 an Ursae Minoris or a lighthouse/guardhouse case.. UM as far as i know uses rubber coated knerled aluminum sheeting.. lighthouse and guardhouse make a very similar 100 case but use apl or hpl plastic sheeting with an aluminum frame... (hpl is a plastic sheet with a metalic foil veneer much like you describe)
yeah that sounds like the lighthouse one.. I almost bought one myself until I found out about the not quite metal/plastic sides.. sometimes paranoia pays off lol
