Wow. Amazing find! This has to be almost if not one of the most finest examples left in existence. And with a pedigree from the Eliasberg collection, that will surely tack on more. I think this one will go to $140,000. NGC lists a basic MS65 at over 14k. When these get past the 62, 63 range, they typically start doubling, tripling or quadrupling in value for every step up in grade. This would have to get a star if re-submitted.
Wow that is one beautiful coin! I think it's going to bring just crazy money. My guess is $217,879.65 Thanks for the contest Lehigh.
My guess is that it won't meet the reserve, but that the highest bid (plus BP) will be around $187,000. Either way thanks for the contest and for thinking to post that beauty. Thanks, John Guess it wont have a reserve to meet.
I'm gonna shoot high and say 180,000 total price. Such a beautiful coin, though I do agree it is probably overgraded. It would be interesting to see what it graded if broken out and resubmitted... looks like it's in an older slab.
