I have to say this since we’re on by the second page: Have you been drinking a little too much? LOL Doubling?
Spider bite to the fore head, but I'm maybe thinking 'accented hair'...The 'I' truncation in liberty looks promising for such a designation.
Okay, the reveal. It is hard to tell how many multiple die strikes occur when it is more than doubled. People got the idea that it was multiply struck; in this case, it is a QDO. Hard to tell, without a loupe, but based on the thickness of the W, and the date, it is a quintuple strike.
Only teasing about the drinking. I think what you see is difficult to capture in a photo, especially if you don’t know what to look for specifically.
You may want to check the cross reference for this coin. WDDO-005 does cross to : Coneca; 5-0-II And Cherrypickers; FS-50-1964D-105 (013.6) For me the marker is the die gouge between the N & I in United on the reverse. I do not know how a QDO & a TDO can have the same die pair and marker.
I think I am caught up now. What a great opportunity to learn some new. The Wexler site calls the WDDO-005 a triple die.
