Is this homestead quarter messed up?

Hey I looking for opinions. Is this homestead quarter jacked up from years of abuse or a mint problem. It just doesn't seem as crisp as the mint photos I'm looking at. My magnifying glass isn't the best, but I think it looks like garbage from the minting. But all know is I know nothing. 20210626_193735.jpg

Circulation has been tough on the coin.

It has definitely been circulated. The other issue it may have is planchet roughness. Clad planchets are very dense and a lot of the roughness is not removed by the strike.

Vending machines are rough on quarters. Could have spent a few turns through a few of them like a carwash. making it look rough like that.

    That sounds weird o_O

Don't say Messed up or looks like garbage from the Mint

Here are some wording we use..

I looks like a Mint Error or it looks like PMD - Post Mint Damage

I've heard that term "grease" and I have no idea what that means. Should I look up something on how coins are minted?

Grease on the die when minting can leave a slight muddy surface, or radiating lines of muddy channels.
