An 1851 Liberty Seated Dime. Worn but with a readable date and features. She worked hard for the economy.
Beauty! I just bought a damaged 1859 half dime that was a deal at $35 IMO. I like shiny objects, so I'm biased in that regard.
Unlike bright white uncleaned coins but I also like the older ones with wear. Oh the stories they could tell.
What is it about the Carson City mint that makes me crazy? Oh, and silver, and pretty women and gold, and dogs, and fast cars (don't get me started on early copper)... Nevermind, I've got a lot to work on with my team of therapists this week, obviously and as usual.
OK, an extremely worn but recognizable 1849 dime that I purchased when I was a teenager lo these many decades ago. This is so worn that I cannot determine a die marriage attribution. And a 1877-CC dime that is a duplicate in my type set that I picked up only because I wanted a CC.
I'm going to have to take some pictures of my coins. Everytime ya'll post a neat coin, I pull mine out to look at it and then the red book. I know I have a1833 Capped Bust Half Dime and an 1860 Liberty Seated Half Dime, but I didn't record the mint mark. Thanks for putting a burr under my saddle to get busy and do something.
