Todays pickup 1878 CC Vam 1B Morgan

    I saw this at my local coin shop , and after negotiating some got this for 200.00 figured that was a fair price. For a AU Looking coin it is quite lovely in hand. It looks semi Prooflike in hand , Reverse more so than obverse .

    I need to get a new photo set up figured out still to capture how the coins look in hand better still.

    me too. Not many in the SSDC though its probably not a popular variety but I like it.

    Maybe so, but I'm sure there are many CC Morgans in collections of people who don't care which die pairing they have.
    I see there are about a dozen MS coins with PL examples and a DMPL in the registry census. That to me is an indicator of what the population could be.
