the story goes, ICG graders have come across two of them so far. fake 2020-W V75 silver eagles sent in for grading.

the collector said they purchased the coins on facebook. hahahaha some things never change, I could only be more surprised if he said Etsy.

I sure wish I could see images of the entire coin. Perhaps @Insider can give us more information.

 

Yeah, I'm really interested in how the V75 came out actually.

Maybe it's one of those trade secret things, where they will only release so much info and the rest under a NDA or something.

 

Yep, the counterfeiters are ready at the drop of a hat! It's amazing that someone would buy off of Facebook tho'!

 

Once the CC and O privy Morgans are released I expect counterfeits to follow soon thereafter considering the markup that's expected.

We were warned almost two weeks ago that counterfeits were on their way. I listened and will not purchase from an unknown dealer on the net, period. Thanks for the post, good luck everyone.

 

Do you mean to tell me Fake Book has fake coins??? I am shocked!!!

 

There's actually a very active coin market on social media and FB isnt the only one.

 

Purchasing on ANY of them might very well cause $$$ headaches. Etsy come rapidly to mind. IMO
