Just received these 2 Washington Crossing the Delaware beauties in the mail... Thanks @Beardigger !!!!! My first ever coin roll 'finds' from 2000 miles away So nice to finally have one of these in hand! I offered to send something cool in return like a graded coin...and being the fine gentleman he is he politely declined...I think I'm going to have to do some sort of sweet giveaway in the near future just to pay this good deed forward I had told the coin roll hunting group that even though I'm only about 5 miles from the Denver mint I have yet to come across a WCD in the wild after quite a few recent quarter roll searches! So Beardigger quickly offered to send me a couple, a P and a D... They are real stunners too! The D is especially beautiful And I still have these quarters to search...so I'm still hoping for my first WCD in the wild!
I have seen loads of them going through quarters in the past few weeks here in Mississippi. You must be out of town or out of luck.
What an unfortunately cluttered, ugly design for a reverse. If you have to take up a large portion of the coin with a legend explaining what the ridiculous picture is supposed to represent... maybe you should rethink the coin.
What can you buy for a quarter? I defy anyone to walk into a store and find anything they to buy for just one (1) quarter. A gumball, maybe. Is that why we still make quarters? ...so people can still buy a single gumball?
There is a power wash station right near me that's a couple minutes per quarter! There's also a change machine on both sides of it...so if I want some quarters to search any time of the day...it takes up to $20s It's one of these kind of power car wash deals...
@Kurisu So glad you are happy with them! ENJOY! Looks like your next hunt might be good. I see several possible W coin enders there. Wishing you luck!
@physics-fan3.14 I must agree it looks like the other boat is going to crash into Washingtons' boat. Washington is going west to east from PA to NJ the other boat from north to south from New Hope PA to perhaps Camden, NJ to get some soup.
@Kurisu In my experience, the local self-service car wash is a gold mine for CRH'ing, especially when your local banks are unwilling to part with coins. The same thing goes for the average interstate rest area and vending machine court.
