Nice 1957 Washington Quarter

    Before I put it away I looked closer. It has several significant die cracks going all around the reverse. Here are some close ups.

    Interesting how we think of die cracks as a 19th century phenomenon but they still show up in the 20th and maybe the 21st century.

    The mint is too busy designing participation ribbons for every state and historical figure, making sure that each gets equal recognition. And, the current generation seems to want something that is not too detailed for them to understand.
