I would sure like to RickieB, but today is my official retirement day and now with a limited income it will be a long slow process. But on the other hand, I now have nothing but time.

Yeah, RickieB, I too started out as a Marine, the first 6 years were active duty, then went to the Air Force Reserves as a flight engineer for the last 30 years. Been a great career, gotten to see a whole lot of the world, but for the last 6-7 years mostly Iraq and Afghanistan. I have about 20-25 silver certificate star notes, all either unc or au. I'd love to have a complete set of them from 1928 - 1957. Now just looking forward to hanging out here on Cointalk with u all.

Darryl, I just went to your banknote collection. Very Cool 65 combination of notes!!! If you would like to see some of my notes I also am on Banknotebank, as RodgerC130.

    Thanks Rodger,

You have a very nice collection of US and Foreign notes! Found some of both that are really nice. I love the large size and fractional. Some of the Philippine notes and a number of others have great vignettes! You should consider joining the Security Engraving Vignettes Social Group. I think you would find it interesting and informative.

    Best Regards ~ Darryl

    Hey Darryl,
Thanks for the comments about my banknotes. I originally joined the Security Engravers Vignettes when they first came out. I think I was the 4th or 5th to join, and posted around 50 vignettes, but a requirement to be in the group is you have to give a presentation and I'm not real good at that sort of thing so I disenrolled myself from the group. It is a really cool group but I just prefer not to have to give a presentation. I do wish that you could view the vignettes without being a member. The last time I tried to view them I was denied because I wasn't a present member. Oh well, maybe someday I'll join again.

Did you keep any of your military payments? Those are fun to collect too.

Well I sure as heck would be proud to help you with your presentation anytime you want to do it. I was wondering why you left...if that is all it is then by all means, please rejoin.
In my normal work role I present to R&D Scientist's all the time, at least here, you do not have to stand up in front of anyone yet...LOL

Just say the word and we can coordinate the research, form the content and post away.
