Wow, I wish my wife would've given me anything like that, I guess I can't complain, a GNC gift card is better than nothing.
You got some really nice stuff BNB. Like Persianguy, I like the cent. I also like the buffalo (which I'd like better if it had only three legs).
Well I can tell you something that I WON'T be getting. I moved a while ago and just recently began purchasing coins again. I was using eBay and BEFORE I started bidding I changed my shipping addresses in both eBay and PayPal. Somehow my old address did not get deleted. When I went to the checkout in eBay I didn't even think to check the shipping address. Yes, in fact it was my OLD address. The item was shipped and delivered to my OLD address. Hopefully the person that received it is honest and will return it to sender. Lets hope they are in the Christmas spirit. By the way it was an uncirculated 1931-S lincoln cent. :-::::: Merry Christmas everyone
Well, I got no numismatic presents for Christmas I got $500, an electric guitar, and will be getting my laptop in 5 days, when it is my b-day! I plan to put the $500, along with the cash I already have, to my proof indian cent. Hopefully I will get a very nice coin
If you have the phone number of one of your old neighbors, perhaps they would inform the people at the old address.
I thought of that, but its been like a year since I moved. I should have paid more attention to what I was doing. This stinks...
Is it possible to send a note snail mail to them or even go to your old house? You could even lookup your neighbors phone numbers on smartpages.com.
And it just so happens I'm in Arizona right now. Headed back to TX in the am, but perhaps I will make a stop.....:rolling:
I would send the note snail mail regardless in case you go to your old stomping grounds and no one is home. I'd have the letter already on the way, but that's me.
Got some reading to do I got some books for the holidays: Rick Snows 4th FE and IHC attribution guide. (Signed) The Red Book Guide of Morgan Dollars. The Red Book Guide of Peace Dollars. And, The Red Book Guide of Lincoln Cents. I figures it was about time I caught up to what I've been missing out on. No coins for me. I bought way too many at the S.F. Mint show recently. Bruce

Finally opened the Xmas gifts today (Dec 26). All the relatives were over yesterday and just too much going on to get to the presents. Here's what I got: - The last of Snow's guide to FE's & IHC's (1890-1909) - The HALF CENT Die State Book, 1793-1857 by Ronald P. Manley, Ph.D. No coins, but I didn't ask for any, so no disappointment there.
I had an excellent Christmas. Besides the nice gifts I recieved, I spent the whole day with my mom and brother just having fun. I would say it was one of the best Christmases ever, just because of that. Here's what I got numismatically: a 3 pound sack of world coins. I have not counted the new additions yet but I do know I got 17 new countries for my collecting, bringing the total number of countries I have to 93. I got coins in the bag ranging from 1903-2009. a full box of Whitman year set holders! I love these, and my entire US and Canadian collection will be in them, at least the years that fit in them. Good holders for Currency. My currency collection has been stored in an envelope until now, each note loose and unprotected (except the ones that came in holders!) Now, I got enough that I should be able to protect my entire collection or very close to it I also recieved the Standard Catalog of World Currency 1961-current edition! I really needed that as I had no reference material at all on world currency. The big surprise was that I also got some world currency! I kind of suspected all the above as I was pretty clear in what I wanted and also paid for most of it but the world currency was a surprise to me! Overall, a great Christmas with my family, can't ask for much more then that!
My wife bought me a Dansco Peace Dollar Supreme Album, as well as a Choice BU 1923 S Peace dollar to get my collection started. She coordinated with my father-in-law, and he got me a 1922,1923,1924,1925 Peace Dollars in GEM BU condition. Got some loot too, to buy more peace dollars at tomorrow's coin show. Very pumped!
It's like Christmas all over again. The really nice thing about getting badly needed supplies is that you get to play with all the numismatic items that need the holders & folders. It's like Christmas all over again. This last weekend I bought a bunch of cent 2x2s to hold all the keepers from roll searching I did last summer. I spent last night putting all the cents in holders & it was quite fun to handle & inspect the coins again.
