The same way erwizard's post is! PCGS either assigns a numerical grade or they grade it genuine, they don't do both on the same coin. Don't worry about, I was kidding. Forgot to put the at the end of my post.

 

Stella, this contest is not set up very clear, and is getting more and more confusing by the minute.

You put a poll on here, in which all the grades aren't available to us. What if somebody thought the coin was MS61? You also voted, in the poll, of your own contest. I don't really understand that at all.
You say whoever is closest...Okay, so what if there is more than one person closest, lets say 20 people guessed the same thing, what happens? Do you draw to see who wins? Do they all win something?
I guessed genuine, others guessed genuine and a grade (basically stating that it is cleaned, and they are giving a details grade) Does that mean that the people who just said genuine are close, just like the others who gave a numerical grade?

I can answer some of that. When you post a poll, you have to either vote in your own poll or click view results every time you view the thread. It is just easier to vote and make the results automatically appear, which they do after you cast a vote. Also, NGC doesn't use GENUINE, they details grade, so I don't think anyone who guessed GENUINE can win.

One more question.
What about the people who said Genuine and then gave a grade? Is that understood as giving a details grade? (Doesn't apply to me as I just guess Genuine)

 

I was trying to lead them into explaining that, but my joke did not work. So IDK.

I guessed fake. It's not really my area of expertise, but there was something just off about the shiny coin.

My guess is AU-55.

 

I'm guessing something similar to what just about everyone is thinking: NGC VF-35 with XF details, cleaned.

*Edit: XF-40 is not a grade, changed to VF-35. Sorry guys and gals.*

 

If the coin should come back authenticated and graded ( which I feel there is a good chance it won't be authenticated ) I don't believe they would assign anything higher than a AU 50/55 " improperly cleaned". Perhaps this coin at one time was in an old ANACS holder ( being wrongly authenticated ) and than cracked out at some point. I will also add, (if I happen to be correct ) it is one of the best fakes I have seen. I hope I'm wrong for the OP's sake. Sorry for the mistakes.

I say genuine, cleaned.

 

To me, it looks cleaned. I will say cleaned with XF-45 details.

 

I want to say AU50.. However I think the coin is fake. I am basing this on the eye of the eagle., The end of the olive branch, and the claws on the eagle. Could just be a variety or die that I am not aware of..
