I didn't get a coin, but my five year old got a mint proof set of the cents. He's been looking through boxes in vain for LP4, so he's ecstatic.

My christmas coin is undecided, I got 300.00 cash and am thinking about a gold coin or maybe a full set of Eisenhower Dollars. I will let yall know soon it is burning a hole in my pocket.

I myself hate Eisenhower Dollars, i'd go for the gold depending on the coin it is your eyeing.

i posted my gift coins a while ago http://www.cointalk.com/t81183/ but on the other hand i did get a digital caliper and scale. tested them on some worn out 1849 gold eagle. came up 16.23/5g and 26.96/7 mm so i think im good.

The wrappings were pulled off~I got a new Black Book from my stepson, Morgan.

He got a harshly cleaned 1882 Morgan.

    He loves bright shiny things.

Then he asked if it was the from San Fran or New Orleans?

Seems the mint mark was not too clean through the AirTight.

So we looked it up in my new BlackBook.

    ....hummmm.....Merry Christmas.

Seems fitting that your stepson Morgan got a Morgan!

For me, it was a CSML and a brand new Red Book!

My xmas presents to myself were in this thread. Looks like you got a nice bust half and several others got nice christmas presents also.

Oh my goodness, those are beautiful! I especially like the Gold Maple Leaf and Buffalo. Great choice :)

Gave away 2009 mint sets for christmas, I figured with the pennies they would be a nice gift.

Buy a gold coin in a slab

IMO you should get a $2.50 Indian gold piece in MS61/62 for your $300. I bought one in a PCGS slab for $300 about 1-month ago. I'm VERY happy with it.

For Christmas this year I bought myself a set of uncirculated Greenland coins from the 1920s & 1940s. They are posted here http://www.cointalk.com/t83914/

    Merry Christmas.

This technically isn't a coin, but a token that I got for Christmas :thumb:
