Today's 10 cent bin scrounged coins:

Some more obsolete Showa types from Japan. No dates I don't have for my date set, alas. Reeded 10 yen x4, Diet 5 yen, Showa 24 1 yen x2 Japan.jpg
    And some UK coins
The George III halfpenny looks like 1807. It's quite bent. R is 1948 2 shillings.
    Pennies are 1907, 1912, 1920, 1931
    UK.jpg

And the rest. Some interwar stuff and some fun modern types I didn't have, plus some miscellaneous junk.

IMHO there is no such thing as a "junk" coin. They're all worth something to someone, even if they're a beginner just starting out in the hobby.

I don't mean "junk" to be disparaging. I just normally hear coins sold unpackaged for 10 or 25 cents called "junk" coins. Most have negligible retail value, but I've found a lot of interesting coins in junk bins over the years, including a few which are worth quite a bit more than they sold for.

A lot of my 1800s coins were originally from junk bins:

And more where those came from...

@The Eidolon I know you weren't being disparaging. I was just making a statement. It's an adjective that I wish would not be used any more. I don't care for common 90% silver coins to be called "junk" either. It's a common term used to describe common coins. Maybe "common" would be a better word. Just my 2 cents worth...
