Very difficult to capture in a photo but take NGC’s word for it, it’s doubled. A beautiful MS-67 Red 1995 Doubled Die obverse error.

I bought an MS67RD example for $125 shortly after they were discovered. Prices have fallen since.

Cool.. I have 2 myself.. Gave up searching for one in the wild and after a few years just purchased them.

I consider the 1995 the last true exciting Doubled Die variety worth searching for.. Anything after that year is so drab :yack:

That's why I don't like any thread showing anything else then asking.. "Is this a doubled die?"

I bought this one last month. No where near the price you paid.

Nice Paddy! But I’m afraid I got you beat. You have a 65 and a 68 so when you average them together you have a grade of 66 1/2. Mine is a 67 and that’s higher. Do I sound like a new collector? It does work that way, doesn’t it? Lol Hope you got a laugh out of that. I purchased mine last month as the price was low enough to gain my interest and I’m not looking to find one in the wild. Being zinc it would probably be destroyed anyway. :)

Paddy, we never found one searching. Just like you. Found doubled dies and other goodies, but not that one.

Take a bow, champ! In 20-some years we never came close to finding one! And we looked for it!

Nice coin collection nut I'm still trying to find one in the wild. For all most 500 thousand got out the door there is know one finding them but you paid good money some one needed some money. Theme coins go for more than that good job some one find one in the wild and tell me about it were did they all go. Some one needs to put a tracker on theme 500 thousand they'all went to the same spot some one should be able to narrow it down all you guys are from different states what states are not said nothing about. I thought shore I found one the other night and man it would have grade high to there some good ones out there some were it's only a 95 not to old some are probably not worth nothing good job.

Yeah did you find your in the wild it still ant a bad looking coin it feels so much better when you find them own you're own. Can I ask you a question were you from or were did you find it at I believe there all in the same place or close buy I'm trying to track this coin down. You take 500 thousand coins that are bad that many coins are being shipped to the same place I just don't know how to get that kinda information but I've heard people talk how they go here some go here and then different banks spread them out I believe most of these errors coins are in a Bank fault some were and they don't even know what they got. These coins should have been easy to find but no one can't don't make no sense.

Yes, Bentley, they were both found searching rolls from banks. They were found separately weeks apart. I’m near Syracuse NY but they could have been wrapped at a far off center

First time posting here and happy there’s a thread about why I came in. I’m very very novice collector over years and bought 5 1995 DDO MS68 years ago when first discovered. I honestly don’t believe CAC existed back then and wondering if on these and other coins I have that were graded 20+ years ago, does it make sense to have regraded or send to CAC if they look possible candidates in my uneducated opinion. What would anyone suggest?

Myself I'm not the guy with 20 years of being on this post. But if I have done had them check out all ready I don't think it would make sense to do it again never really heard anybody ever doing that. I'm sure you have took good care of them they been put up right they should be in some kinda holders I would love to see one specially a 68 that is all most a perfect coin.
