I think you should get a craft envelope or a wayte raymond, put it on a shelf for a few years, and hope for the best.
Hey Doug - Do you see what I see? I thought I saw it in the first pic' but wasn't sure as the lighting wasn't the best...now it is pretty clear. Lehigh - can you get a close up shot of the mintmark? Speedy
Nahhhhhhhh - it's your imagination, Remember now, all those learned people told you it was your imagination
Yeah...I know, I'm just a young kid that couldn't see such a thing as that. I mean really, some of them were there when the first one was minted and they KNOW that it isn't so! LOL Speedy
I would grade the coin AU 50/55 Details ( cleaned ) Is there serious suspect that this coin is not Genuine ?
It appears genuine to me, and mid-AU details. I don't think it's possible to say with certainty that it has been cleaned, from these photos, but odds are it has. I believe the best price would be obtained if it were at least 'genuinified' by one of the major tpg's, as these have been repeatedly produced outside the US Mint walls.
Question, if it was cleaned, then would that finger print on the right obv. still be there? It appears to be a fingerprint.
I don't understand where all of the AU grades are coming from. The coin isn't worn, it's dipped. Or over-dipped, if you prefer. AU details, but not AU.
