I went to my first coin show today! (Arcadia Coin Show, 40 tables) Many thanks to @CoinCorgi for posting about it! I wouldn't have known if you didn't tell me!

I arrived near the end on the second day, so I didn't get to see everything, but I still got some cool stuff :)

    - One million dollars for $3. What a deal!
    - 8 ND buffalo nickels for $2. I chose ones with mint marks and two of them are raised ground variety. Will use Nic-A-Date to fill up my album :)
    - 1 wheat cent for $.50 I needed for my album
    - 2 barber dimes for $3 each.
    - 2 Mercury dimes for $3 each. I needed both for my album.
    - 2012 Australia 1/2 oz 999 silver Year of the Dragon for $30. My sister loves dragons so this will be her birthday gift this year :p
    - 1931 D Merc dime VF for $17. Needed for my album.
    - 1894 Canada Large cent I needed for my album
    - 3 copper wheat cents that are supposed to have an error or something on the mint mark for $.50 each. I didn't have time to look at them at the show but for $1.50 you cant go wrong. Maybe a re-punched mint mark or something like that? I'll probably post and ask questions about them soon :hilarious:
    - 13 tokens and medals at the bottom of the picture. I traded a ton of matchbooks to a collector there for these. I got the matchbooks at a garage sale a few months ago and I think this was a decent trade. (especially to get all of those flammable matchbooks out of the garage and get some space! :D) I know that at least one of them is silver but I think three of them are silver. I will probably ask for ID in some other threads in the future.

All together, I spent just over $80 at the show. You guys would probably buy the expensive gold and silver graded stuff they have there, but as you can see, its a little out of my price range. ;) Maybe for another time. It was fun and I filled some holes in my albums! Thanks for reading :)

You got several nice pieces. The two Canadian coins look nice. The
1931-D Merc was one of the last ones I needed for my set.

Thanks! I just need 9 more Merc dimes to complete my set! It’s one of my favorite US coins so I figure I can spend a little extra on them. ;)

Very cool. I'd love to go to a coin show, but I'm stuck in a place that keeps canceling them.

I wanted to get some more silver but even generic rounds were $10+ over spot. :yuck:

Before the pandemic, it would be pretty easy to get common Morgans or 1 oz silver for 25 bucks. Not anymore

My LCS sells ASE pre 2019 @ $45 plus tax. Ouch. I'll see what I can
find at the ANA in Chicago.
@Matthew Kruse I'm going to the same LCS next week. PM me your
Merc list and I'll see what I can find. They helped me quite a bit when
I was finishing my Merc. and Washington set. On collectible coins they
are much more reasonable. ASE's are just hot right now.
