One of the more interesting Morgan errors

    This is one of my more interesting Morgans. I generally do not collect varieties and VAMs, but to me, this strike-through is one of the more interesting Morgan errors. It is not valuable, but an interesting curiosity.

    Comments very welcome.

    Besides that beautiful die crack by the date/stars and the others on the reverse overall coin is nice.

    How about the obverse and reverse strike through. Die polish, or grease?

    I got Morgans with those clashes too in that area. It's the leaf tips. Good eye spotting it in the picture.

    Very nice Morgan. Due cracks on both sides along with the strike through. I can’t help but think the strike through was caused by a rag that was used to clean the dies but who really knows for sure. That area on the reverse that was pointed out is a die clash of the leaves.
