Sorry Cavetroll, no mod is going to bully me around like that.. I just won't post the link.. Anyway folks, I became a Powerseller on Ebay today! Now, it's just a matter of me going on Heritage and buying at least $1,000 worth of coins a month to keep my Power Seller status. Anyone here a Powerseller? Do you think it's worth having that status?? Wish me luck! bnb
I'll tell you, I'm personally more likely to buy from a seller with less than 100 feedback than I am from a powerseller. At least with what I'm looking for, the better coins tend to appear on ebay only when a collector is selling his stuff, and that means no powersellers.
As I was trying to warn you on your previous post; Congratulation. However, if you are no more successful at following eBay's rules than you have been following this forum's rules, you will not last long. BTW, I still do not see the powerseller symbol by you name.
never exactly understood what powerseller means except that ebay likes to annoy buyers more with their sales.
What is your Ebay ID so i can see what you are selling. i like to look at the coins that CT members are offering not that I can afford them but I have bought from CT members on Ebay and privately and have never been disappointed.
Hey BNB congratulations!! Do you have to sell a certain amount of items a month? I thought it just meant that you have had so many sales and that's it. Obviously I don't know if it's worth having that status or not. It's just an ebay thing to me. I've gotten good deals and bad deals from both powersellers and literal unknowns, so it's six of one half a dozen of the other to me. good luck to you
I had a powerseller. You have to maintain it. You have to sell over 5,000 a month at least when I was.
There are 3 levels of powerseller now, I'm a bronze, it's just 1000 a month. by next month I won't qualify, but they said I could get a discount on fees, this discount hasn't appeared yet...
I'm pretty sure I'm a powerseller right now, but I get kicked out of the program all of the time for not maintaining the level of activity they require (either a lot of small transactions or a few high dollar transactions gets you in). But then when I decide to sell a few things i get invited back. Not a big deal to be either way.
Wow!! So I guess you don't have to take the status listing if you don't want to put out that many sales, right? Quite an ebay hussle JMO.
I agree, at least from my experience. I was a powerseller for about 3 months, it's not hard to become one, and I didn't really notice a difference in the fees, or an increase in sales.
BNB: Because you asked, eBay PowerSeller status is pretty useless, especially if you sell a lot in one cycle and get "invited" on but then don't maintain that regularity of sales and fall off the distinction quota the next cycle. I guess if it's your first time being a "PowerSeller" it might feel like some big to do. What surprizes me (actually, doesn't really surprize me about BNB ) is that with your recent 3-legger happily acquired there were accompanying threads proclaiming it was to be your "retirement" from high end coins, but it has been stated that: So what kind of Heritage coins will you be supplying to the eBay community? And all for the purpose of maintaining your PowerSeller status? I don't think your strategy will work (be financially advantageous) unless you are only planning to target sales to eBay buyers otherwise clueless to HA, those who don't track the sales of TPG coins (especially the high value graded coins you need to first buy for your supply), and those willing to overpay for coins they could pay less for on Heritage instead of adding on the cost of your profit for reselling them on eBay. I'm real curious, BNB, if you can explain how this will work and how often you think you can buy Heritage coins with your typical strategy you ordinarily provide here, in order to maintain your PowerSeller status? Thanks. :smile
BNB... there's spam email going around that states you have acheived eBay Powerseller status. I doubt you would qualify since you've only had $8 in sales over the past month.
congrats on that but i do not buy from power sellers as i belive they charge too much then again when they have to get there sales up to keep there power sellers statement up you might get a good deal dave
Right but that retirement would Not apply if I am buying from Heritage with the INTENT of resale.. Then the money will come right back. I only retired from buying high end coins for myself.
