I had this coin graded by NGC a few months ago, and it graded at a respectable MS65*FT (Star with Full Torch). Subsequently, I noticed in the Photo Vision photos that it "appears to" have Doubled Dies and (possibly) a "Tripled" Die variety attribution. So I resubmitted the coin for regrading including Variety Attribution almost two months ago, but have not gotten the coin back yet. I will be excited to get it, no matter the result. NOTE: I posted this coin several months ago in a forum and was told by many that it was not worth anything, but it received the MS65*FT grade, and seems very likely to have that grade enhanced by variety attribution added to the slab through my resubmission. Further comments and observations are welcomed.
I remember this coin, and I hope you get the variety attribution that you are seeking, but I still would have taken the $500. Good luck William!
I sent several other coins: Kennedy halves: 1964 (PF66) and 1964-D (MS-64), and several Lincoln cents: 1964 (PF68 Rd), Jefferson Nickels, and Washington Quarters, but nothing of significance, and an 1859 Indian Head Cent (Genuine Details).
