This is more of a thread just to complain, but what is with the prices of these quarters on Ebay?! Every pay I try to buy a Walker, a nice cent, and work a little on the modern sets I have going, but these quarters are outlandish! I am down to my last 3 W quarters to finish out the ATB set, one of which listed anywhere from $40-70. Personally, I am having a difficult time finding a reason as to why a 2020 quarter would go for that price...just hype? I might just have to wait until the popularity dies down a bit to get those last three.

Ok, just needed to vent. You can go about your normal educational CoinTalk material now.

What I find interesting is that some of them are $15 and some are $45. I wonder why some designs are more valuable, they all have a mintage of 2 million...

    Which three are you missing?

    Marsh Billings
    Samoa (bat)
American Memorial Park are the three I am missing.

What kills me is exactly that. Supposedly they all had the same mintage so why the difference. There was one that had a "Make an Offer," so I offered $20 on this quarter. That would be a 80X face value for this 2020 coin and still was declined. Beats me.

I was just looking (again!) at the 5 2020-Ws that you sent me, which I had put in a box! :) I haven't put the 2019-Ws you sent in a special home yet.

Thank you Matthew.....I look at it this way. I have about 80 cents invested in this deal. If I can afford 80 cents to put a smile on somebody's face 1000 miles away.....then why not? It's well worth it to me to know somebody who will really appreciate the coin will have it. It's a win-win!

The best news with those Quarters is the striking of them mercifully came to an end. We are "W" free in 2021.

What a guy, huh? @Beardigger, can i send a Marsh-Billings, but only if it's in your name, as a thank you for your generosity to me? Like you said, 80 cents can go a long way.

I fully agree! The State Quarter program came out when I was 13. Even though I was already avid in roll searching, this brought my hobby to a new level. By the time it ended, I was in college and the ATB seemed like a nice cheap way to keep going. In that time I graduated grad school, progressed in my professional career and thus diverted to other interests (Walkers and Lincolns), but I still want to finish this collection to call it complete. I am becoming agitated and annoyed at the whole gambit of coins in this set. P, D, S, reverse proofs, circulation S, W....frankly I am just ready for it to be done. I know that sounds sad as a collector, but I am done with modern mint issues other than keeping up with the Sac dollars and dimes.

All taken care of, my friend. In your name, a freshly circulated 2020 W V75 Marsh-Billings quarter will be in the mail Monday or Tuesday. You know I'm a man of my word! Thanks again for your generosity.

You're one of the good guys @Beardigger. Thanks for being one of the people to guide me through this, show me it's just as much about the giving, as it is the collecting. Good people keep this fun and interesting. So it's my honor to do this, in your name.
    Enjoy your Sunday.

The American Memorial Park is the only coin that seems to be out of line as far as price.

I also wanted to complete a couple of sets of these and the ANP was the only one that I had to pay strong money in order to find a nice coin.

maybe in the near future, they will be available for a more reasonable price

It's like the 1955-S and 1954 Lincolns of 50 years ago. Everybody collecting a date set from 41-whatever needed them. The price never went down much, but every other Lincoln went up until it was no longer a key.
