Anyone have any coins of Lucilla? (Daughter of M. Aurelius)

Does anyone happen to own any coins featuring Lucilla, the daughter of Marcus Aurelius & Faustina, and sister of Commodus?

I’d really like to get a coin with her on it someday. She was a remarkable woman who knew her brother Commodus was not fit to be Emperor and actually did something about it.

    Thanks!

I have lots. Here's one. She was 12-14 years old when this was issued. Commodus was a baby.

    Amazing! Great coin!

Just curious what does 25.2mm 6h mean?

I know 25.2mm is the diameter but what is the 6h?

Ive seen that #h thing on so many coin descriptions and could never figure it out.

At first I thought maybe it was portrait orientation or how the portrait was tilted. But nope that wasn’t it.

Now I give up on guessing and want to know xD

Die axis. The reverse is oriented at 6:00 relative to the obverse.

Plus I have several coins with "group shots" of children of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina II, including Lucilla.

In other words, @Gam3rBlake, if a coin's obverse is right side up, and then you flip the coin over and the top of the reverse is at the bottom, then the reverse is considered as having a die alignment of 6:00 hours relative to the obverse, with the obverse at 12:00. If the alignment is exactly the same when you flip the coin over, so that the reverse and obverse are both right side up, then the alignment is 12 hours. And so on.

    Ahh ok thanks! :)

Darn I was close. I wanted to see if I could figure it out without looking lol.

Why does that information matter though?

These aren't super expensive so you should be able to get one for a decent price. I paid less than $40 for this attractive sestertius.

Great stuff! Is she on any denarii by any chance?

The tough part is finding a seller at that price xD.

Yeah I know what you mean. Denarii are expensive but at least they’re cheaper than collecting gold aureii!

I have just one, which was very generously offered by @Ryro at this year's Guess the CTer contest. Have to add that I did not guess a single answer right. I was overwhelmed by his very kind offer, which included a Senones (Celtic) Drachm, a Celtic ring, a contemporary imitation of Tetricus II, and a wonderful edition of Homer's Iliad.

    This is Lucilla:
    Æ As, Rome, 164 AD
    21 x 22 mm, 7.684 g
    RIC III Marcus Aurelius 1757; Sear 5518; Cohen 55;

Ob.: LVCILLAE AVG(ustae) ANTONINI AVG(usti) F(ilia), Bust of Lucilla to r., hair waved and fastened in a low chignon at back of head, draped
Rev.: PIETAS, Pietas standing left, dropping incense from r. hand on lighted altar at left and holding box in l. hand. S-C across flan

Pretty much anything is cheaper than that. Better be Bezos before trying to make a reasonable dent into imperial aureii
