Morgans sold out in 25 minutes...

I had a feeling they were going to let the whales get everything, for now on any coin bought be me will be pre-1950 including morgan/peace dollars. I sold all my modern Commeratives a few months back it might be time the eagles go too.

Good job! My went through quite easily although it took my iPhone and Tablet to do so. I had a confirmation sent then they took the $4.00 or 4.95 shipping out of my bank account. It's good to see collectors getting some of the coin's instead of all the coin ripoff show's

 

I just think their computer system sucks! Ryder finally admitted Bots were used and was trying to sort through those orders how i do not know but the Mint had said Bots could not penetrate their system? With all they make up grades are way over due. This go's way back my first kick in the face which was the 2011 ASE 25th Anniversary set and nothing's changed.

 

It used to be oop's? Talking about annoying! It now seem's to be Error code. Crazy this is the best the US Mint can do

 

Lots of folks got shut out. I wanted only one O-privy. I got two. Guess I should be glad I didn’t get 200. With that computer system, there’s no telling what will happen. But I unintentionally shut out one person.

 

I wonder if anybody tried logging in to the mints website lately to order a CC and O, armed with the knowledge that there would be a "two week" pre-ordering window?

 

Did ya'll get the email from the Mint telling about their suspending the remaining Morgan sales in order to "enhance the online experience"? I'll be very curious to see what they do, if anything. But anything would be better than nothing, which is what it is

 

Sucks it has to come to that. I have a lot vested in my Eagles...I toyed with the idea of stopping after the first issue of the T1 and just stick to my Morgans only...maybe Peace dollars - but I only have 1 of those!

 

I have an idea of what they'll likely do to "enhance our pleasure", but I imagine I'd get in trouble for posting it, even couched in euphemisms.

 

LOL That wording is hilarious. Enhancing pleasure just doesn't even remotely come to mind when thinking about using their website to order products. In fact it's not pleasurable at all.

 

Enhancing pleasure? I agree that's an odd way to phrase what is actually a very unpleasant system?

 

To enhance pleasure, drop household limit to one. Will still have site crashes and frustration but more collectors will have to pleasure of getting one.

 

I was surprised the US Mint had a ten coin limit? It made no since unless you are a TV coin show huckster I did get ten but i will not sell them because i am a collector. I started collecting in 1974 and have every coin i have ever purchased or collected. They mean to much to me am i a hoarder? Friends have wondered why don't you trade up yet i continue to save every coin and save for higher grades.. I am the keeper for now but one day i will sell because my wife as much as i have tried has no clue to how much money this hoard is worth. MaryK. I was lucky to get a couple of the CC's but was also trying for the O. Message me and maybe we can work out a trade.

 

It's my Birthday and i would like an O mint mark but i would first have to send in the 10 CC's for grading. And i thought i put in for 5 of each? It would be a first for me but why not if it would make another member happy! Can hardly wait until 6-7-21

Unfortunately the US Mint has postponed the pre-order windows for the remaining 2021 Morgan and Peace silver dollars so they can resolve the website issues they encountered for the O and CC privy mark pre-orders.

 

I never liked the PF70 Vs PF69 thing regarding them and how much more I paid for them.

I am packing everything tomorrow with some to be sold on GC and a lessor amount sold on Ebay and will even cancel my mint accounts.(will keep my 2006 anniversary set and 2019 S Enhanced but no other Eagles) plenty of old coins out there to look for. I think the mint has a market but not with me in it.

It would not surprise me if the peace dollar does not get released this year.
