I would very much value your thoughts on the grade of this one; comments welcome, if you wish. It is a 1882-O Morgan. Thank you; be well.
I'm not so certain this one was cleaned. It looks like it was scanned and a lot of the time scanners will strip the coin of it's luster in the image.
Hard to tell. Does the surface look like tiny bumps? If the surface looks as if it may be a Matt proof surface, then it's a counterfeit. Sorry. Otherwise Cleaned. I have a 1875-S trade dollar, that's counterfeit, that I got at a road garage sale.-O)
Thanks to all of you for your time. Is there a best way to photograph a coin for posting here, or anywhere? High quality camera using a tripod, perhaps.
Takes a little practice but no you don't need an expensive camera to take great coin shots. Set it to macro, use a tripod or some other way of keeping the camera still. (I've taken great shots by simply standing the coin up against something on a table holding the camera down across from it) Turn off the flash and play with different lightings for different coins. I like flourescent or outdoor. If you want to get the best you can google " camera jim"
