Hello everyone, Today I did a 10 Hour Metal Detecting hunt at 2 different parks in the Bronx NYC. I started a Claremont Park then headed to Crotona Park a few blocks away. I detected 3 more US Silver Coins which brings my silver coin count to 53 in 2021.. Everything.. And I also found $20.00 These are 2 Medallions from 1923. One is Sterling Silver..
I think you found my vintage red Ferrari Matchbox car. Finder's keeper's loser's weepers. Awesome day out Congrats!
That's a heck of a find. I've found two 10 dollar bills on two different occasions. That's my highest. But i definitely find more valuable stuff, daily. Lol. *edit* Hope that "more valuable stuff" didn't come off as rude. I didn't mean more valuable than your stuff @paddyman98 , i meant, a nice piece of silver i find, or a W mint mark, is more valuable, than those 10 dollar bills I've found. That's it!
Fantastic finds Paddy! Glad you got out to search bit 10 hours? I cut all 7 acres in less time today. All that rain we’ve been having. I think you’re well on your way to breaking 100 silver coins this year.
One last picture.. NYC Mounted Police at Crotona Park They were searching for the $20.00 I found.. It was reported that someone lost it
Wow ! How old are those Parks ? I'd say you just touched the suface . Love them Jewelry and Coin Finds !
I went medal detecting in our yard yesterday and found a matchbox car. Turns out it was my dads. Someone must have been playing with it and lost it. The car was from 1981.
Ed, you found a trove this weekend. Congrats!!! "Karnak" is still predicting "Gold in them thar hills."
SPJH I googled it and found: St. Peter's Junior High School. However it is in : 100 Munden Dr, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 3A5, Canada
I googled the NYC Mayor Medallion and noticed it was once a separate item. Looks like someone combined both medallions together to create some sort of necklace that somehow broke and then they lost it. But if you look at the back of the sterling item it states New York. Thanks for the info!
