I like how Canada does their quarters. We could learn something from them.
Unfortunately, it seems like the only thing we learned from the RCM is the churning out garbage bullion products

 

Agreed. It would be nice if the U.S. Mint produced the Washington Crossing the Delaware issue yearly and whatever the current commemorative quarter series is in the future.

 

Balboa coins are cool! I have been on a ship going through the Panama canal (as a tourist when I was 10).

I've been through the Suez twice now. It was hot and smelly. I feel like the Panama would be way cooler!

 

It was back in 1973 and I remember the fresh water dolphins off the bow. There is a lake between the canals with the lockes. The Atlantic (or Caribbean) side is actually north of the Pacific side.

 

We didn't have any dolphins in the Suez. Plenty in the Med and plenty in the Red Sea though.
