So, how's this for a tragic result. I've got what I think here is a: 1) 1982 zinc 2) With a large date 3) and with a thick 'WE' that I understand backs up the large date finding 4) And to boot it has an apparent BIE! but which is SO mottled with either plating bubbles or more likely zinc corruption, that poor Abe looks like he has leprosy and I can't even trust that the BIE is really a chip, it's probably just a bubble too. How's that for a kick in the rubber parts? No real questions asked here, other than 'wow, what do you think of that?' I'm going to save this in the 'things that make you go hmm...' folder.
Plating blisters and zilincon anomalies some people like them but im not one of them its your collection so enjoy.
Hah, I understand. At this point I'm so new to collecting that I'm not sure what I like yet. I'll hold onto it until I need space for something actually interesting, I suspect
Prime example of the lousy Zincoln cent. I sure wish those with the power would get rid of this composition and end the pain it causes. I'd rather see an aluminum cent than a zinc one, but maybe that's just me.
