Kinda looks like this one. http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1963&die_id=1963d1mm004&die_state=mds
Don't worry about the D look at the three! It appears to be a LDS 1963 D -1DO-001. Not a bad find  4 me :whistle:.
That would be a nice find, but I don't think so looking at the photo. That coin looks like this: http://www.lincolncentresource.com/doubledies/1963Dddo1.html
Nice find!! That ain't the same as the coin in this thread though. Unless perhaps PMD flattened out the point of the three enough to cover the seperation.
I could be completely wrong here also..wouldn't be the 1st time. But if I think and understand an Early Die State would be very nice and crisp during the first few initial strikes. As time progresses the underlying 3 would loose its crispness and flatten out creating an image very similiar to the OP's pic. IMHO
Here are the late die state markers: http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1963&die_id=1963d1do001&die_state=lds
I'm just glad you got one of them. That's one of my favorites and I've searched rolls of 'em without finding one yet!
Thanks Rockdude. You can just call me Jody. I use the jallengomez because even though I have the Y-chromosome spelling of my first name, people tend to get gender confused!
Thank's for all the GREAT info! The area around the 3, looked almost like dirt so I (gulp) cleaned with a SMALL brush in that area and have posted the results. I don't see the "other" 3 but, you can see the difference with these posts and the first one. Does the "D" still look like a RPM though? Again, thanks for the advice...
Oh well, dirt doesthat. Anyways, it does look like an RPM now that I look at the "D". Wait for some others to make sure. If so congrats.
I'm pretty sure I found it. 1963D-1mm-004 http://www.coppercoins.com/diesearch.php?thistype=mmom&page=104 Thanks for all the help!
