I have been jonesing to buy some new ancients for awhile but have been constantly outbid due to the insane market recently. Well, I got lucky this weekend on a few bids (and one vcoins purchase) and they have started to arrive in the mail. I even managed to snag a few couple of cool pieces that have provenance of CT's very own @Ryro Without further ado, I will show-and-tell starting with the oldest and ending with the youngest. Nice pick-ups @furryfrog02 - we all have been dealing with the run up in prices but you managed to snag some good examples. Congrats.
Thanks! All of of them were well within my budget which has not been the case lately. I guess every dog has its day
I love his coins. They really did not care at all what they were putting out. I like the one I picked up because it has a pretty clear portrait.
So glad they arrived safe! And great haul! The thing I always wonder about the ring money is, did they wear them as rings. Kinda like a show of wealth (and an excellent equalizer in a fist fight, especially if you're wearing a few on each finger. Ala early brass knuckle: VERY sharp tetricus Mine of him and his son are some of the first ancients I bought from a brick n motor store
The ammonites arrived safe as well. They have been whisked away to FFIVN's fossil shelf though before I got a picture of them Those Tetrici(? I'm pluralizing it and I don't care who says what...) are cool. I don't have one of T2 yet. Looking at your other rings, I'm thinking the double rings could be used almost like a belt buckle type thing? The others, I like the idea of bling.
